Ethics

BIS works closely with the Barwon Health Research Ethics, Governance & Integrity (REGI) and regularly submits updates or new protocols for review and approval.

The guidelines under which research is conducted through Barwon Health are underpinned by documents from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) and the Victorian Consultative Council for Human Research.

Barwon Health and the BIS are committed to efficacious and transparent mechanisms to manage research undertaken under its auspices.
